Andy Strapz A Bagz
Young Andy White, owner/inventor/ringmaster at Andy Strapz, decided some years ago he needed a seat bag with built-in mounting straps that was water resistant and no wider than the bike’s handlebars. What he came up with was the A Bagz, a 30-litre item made from Cordura with a bonded waterproof backing.
We have three at home and they see a lot of use. Even though we had a back-up luggage truck for our latest Vietnam trip, I still wanted something for the back of the bike to carry camera gear (two Hero cams, a proper video cam and a decent stills kit), iPad and miscellaneous other stuff.
Fitting the bag takes just a minute or so, using two long built-in straps which are tensioned with a couple of sets of D-rings. You can access the contents quickly without dismounting the bag and the zippered hatch has a protective weather flap that can also be used to hold down bulky items.
I’m a big fan of these things. As usual, the bag kept everything dry and stubbornly refused to jump ship despite the fact that some of our ‘roads’ looked more like motocross tracks. Highly recommended.
